Whale Imaging Launches New Sigma P5 Portable Ultrasound System
Boston, MA (September 5, 2016) – Whale Imaging, Inc., leading designer and manufacturer of innovative G-Arm and Sigma Series ultrasound medical imaging systems, has officially launched the Sigma P5 Ultrasound. The Sigma P5 is a general ultrasound system designed for use in a variety of medical applications, including Musculoskeletal, Pain Management, Anesthesiology, Vascular, and Point of Care Treatment.
“Whale is thrilled to officially launch the Sigma P5 Ultrasound,” said Laurence Heron, SVP of Operations at Whale. “The Sigma P5 has the ability to offer superior imaging and advanced features in one highly affordable package.”
Whale Imaging’s new laptop-style ultrasound system is compact, lightweight, and highly portable. Engineers at Whale designed the Sigma P5 with mobility in mind for use in both large hospitals and small clinics. Whale’s unique ability to translate ultrasound hardware functions into software capabilities has reduced overall manufacturing costs, a savings which is passed onto the end customer.
Whale classifies the Sigma P5 as a general ultrasound system, but unique application-specific functions are included in every unit. These custom functions enable the Sigma P5 to be used for numerous functions across medical fields. The Sigma range will be augmented with further releases over the coming months.
“We expect the Sigma P5 to be a common fixture in hospitals across the U.S. within a few years. Not only because it’s an exceptional system with great imaging, but because it’s so versatile,” explains Jeff Normand, Whale’s VP of Ultrasound Sales and Marketing. “Whale’s ultrasound is unique because it has a broad range of quality imaging functions and custom settings, making it the ideal tool for any care setting.”
The Sigma P5 Ultrasound is now available for sale from Whale Imaging, and is FDA 501(k) and CE approved. Interested parties are asked to send an inquiry to email@example.com.
