Whale Imaging, home of G-Arm Bi-plane X-ray Imaging System.
The unique G-Arm® bi-plane X-ray imaging system
G-Arm bi-plane X-ray imaging system is an effective alternative to monoplane and 3D C-arm devices because it helps improve patient outcomes.
We are driven by our Credo of “Safer, Faster, Easier”
Our credo drives us to constantly improve and optimise what we create for our customers. G-Arm can produce outcomes more quickly in the OR because it is designed for patients and staff. Our systems are designed to be easy and intuitive for users so they can focus on patient care and outcomes.
G-Arm benefits orthopedic and spine surgeons. This unique device can also benefit other surgical specialities, including neurosurgery and pain management. Surgeons using G-arm daily worldwide attest to its benefits .
G-Arm bi-plane X-ray imaging system has many benefits
Surgeons see live and simultaneously AP and lateral planes of view. Now they can easily visualise the three dimensional anatomy in their heads using their knowledge of anatomy. Now procedures can be performed quickly and accurately in real time. A conventional C-arm or 3D imaging system cannot do this.
The bi-plane approach is proven
Multiple clinical studies outline the benefits of using a biplanar approach. G-Arm saves time, increases accuracy, reduces radiation dose, and improves infection control, which means that the surgeon, staff and patients all benefit.
G-Arm confers significant benefits!
- Lower dose Patients and staff receive less cumulative radiation because fewer corrective exposures are required.
- Less infection risk Sterile field disruption is reduced because the need to alternate the detector plane is eliminated. Infection risk is also reduced by reducing the procedure time.
- Reduced procedural time: Live twin plane views decrease time lost moving the arm and repositioning between AP and lateral views. Additionally, live twin plane views give greater speed and confidence.
- Greater accuracy: X-Beam provides better precision, which makes revision less likely.
Our products are designed in the USA
The G-Arm family was developed over more than a decade with tens of millions of dollars of investment. Our imaging technology, which includes both X-ray and ultrasound modalities, is created out of our Boston, USA headquarters. Development is ongoing. A dedicated team help to design, manufacture and market it worldwide.
